The main factor of a good website that will rank high in the search engines is good content. Unfortunately Google does not listen to music and rank pages accordingly it is all down to written stuff. Here lies a challenge that many have got over by offering feedback and reviews of particular artists and songs, but as we all know we all have different tastes, so these reviews pretty much mean nothing.
If you look at You tube comments you will see how much little value they actually offer the visitor, even if search engines see this interactivity as positive. So how do web designers bring us something that adds value to our download music website?
Well things I like is a sample of the music, to make sure I am downloading the right track, for me the quality does not have to be high, I would prefer a quicker download time, or instant would be even better.
Some sort of relation with albums this track is actually off together with sales figure and the artistic work of the album, has more value to me that reviews.
So menus and big download buttons are also key. as far as content is concerned, words for the artist is more important to me than comments from some moaning person with nothing better to do.
This process is not easy form a web design point of view, as making things simple is often the hardest thing to do. A company who offers web design for businesses in and around Newcastle has proven success in this type of project, making web design integral to music downloads.
Then there is the hosting factor, how quick the hosting can download that music to my computer is key, as it is not just about my internet connection,
